Minecraft and Java are big memory/system hogs.

Try shutting down every running program you are not using (Maybe through the task manager so as not to miss the background stuff) and then starting Minecraft.

Your specs are fine, im sure it has something to do with something using up memory and CPU elsewhere.

The SSD probably wouldent help anything but the initial load time.

thanks I have checked this there is nothing of any size running and of the 2gig of ram i dedicted to minecraft if only uses13 % does this note book have onboard graphs as well as the geforce GT 630m  as I have read that there have been cases where you need to dedicte a specific graphes card to mc im grasping at straws here thanks

Ive never heard of an issue with assigning gfx cards. If that one you have came with the PC it should be default.

Try toning down the game itself. Render distance in particular.

I have a really nice machine and gfx card, but still get all laggy if I let the game render everything out far away from me.
It really is a hog of a game. Looks simple enough, but is decieving.

rendering set back to normal im begining to think this laptop is not up to it  maybe acer should not use the word gaming in any context about this model, nice machine to watch media, surf the net but play m/c not so

Pretty much, if you want a "gaming" rig, laptops/notebooks/etc are out.

    Get a desktop.
