How do I turn on LAN(Broadcom), VGA(Intel) and Wireless LAN(Atheros)?

How do I turn on LAN(Broadcom), VGA(Intel) and Wireless LAN(Atheros) in Acer Aspire 5733 running Win8 Pro(upgrade from win7)? I'm having a problem with configuring Bluetooth on my laptop that is running Windows 8 Pro, an upgrade from Windows 7. Since purchasing the machine I haven't used Bluetooth because I can't see the icon on system tray. I've tried googling for the answers but I can't find the solution. Initially I ran a "Hardware Vendor Detection" tool on my system and then I got this message:" If you cannot find a bluetooth or 3G device listed below but your computer does have these devices, please turn on these devices and click 'Detect again.' This made me believe I might be having a problem configuring bluetooth on my machine. Your assistance is valued.
