Connecting PC to TV

Hello,

I have the Acer Espire M5630-Vista-32bit. Trying to connect my PC to my Panasonic Viera TC L32x30. Would like to watch video from PC on my TV.

Originally I tried going VGA to VGA. Disconnecting my monitors VGA from the PC. I ran a cable from that to my TVs port marked "PC". It matches the VGA cable. Had TV input set to "PC". Turned on TV and then computer. On screen from  TV read " No signal. Check connections and that external device is turned on."

Since that had no results, I purchased a DVI converter for the VGA cable. Reconnected the VGA from my monitor. Disconnected my monitors DVI and connected the DVI converter attachecd to the VGA cable. Turned on computer and TV. This time I saw the Acer bios screen, The Windows Scroll box bar. At the point when windows would come on,I got the "No signal" message on the TV again.

I have all drivers updated, AVG 2013 virus detection,SpyBot for maleware,Windows Firewall. My resolution is set as high as system will allow. 1440by 900 75 Hertz.

Hoping I've given enough information for someone to help resolve my situation.

Try going into your video options and telling the computer that it has a second monitor attached. (With it all hooked up)

    Hello Juzzo,

I went to Display. Chose monitor #2(default). Checked" Extend desktop to this monitor. Had The connection as I mentioned.

Bingo !!!!!  as I'm typing this , seeing it on my TV screen. The solution was starring me in the face the whole time. Too duh to realized what to do. Issue resolved.

Thanks so much for the suggestion.
