Acer Iconia W700 Bluetooth Keyboard Case

For those of you who bought the newer versions of the W700 that comes with the bluetooth keyboard cover, anyone knows how to turn it off properly?

It seems that everytime I hit the power button or any key you will see the blue LED light up. If I try to hit the power button again to turn it off, it really doesn't do anything. I'm trying figure out how to turn it off. There is no proper documentation in the box for the keyboard cover case.

Also I wish the plastic holder works a little better. It's difficult to fit the tablet in it and even harder to take out. I wish it had the same design as the original case that didn't have a keyboard.

To turn off the keyboard, press and hold the power button UNTIL the blue light flashes a couple of times (When turned on, the light will come on but not flash).

As for the hard rubber tablet holder, it's always easier to insert and aligning one side first (right side for me since I want the power and volume buttons to get the best fit possible), then gradually push the side borders along until I get to a corner, where it will snap over the edge with some but little force. Then then last corner also takes a little force, but still quite easy to do. Hopefull this tip helps.

There is no consistency in the different replies I can see about the keyboard case and its usage Smiley Sad

Unfortunately I have not found any official documentation from Acer on this KB

The KB has a power button and 2 LED

+ the first one (amber) seems to be the battery LED. If you connect the USB cable to recharge the battery:

        1. Charging: Amber.
        2. Fully charged: Blue

+ the second one (blue) seems to be used to indicate some bluetooth information/state ???

If you press the power button nothing seems to happen ???

if you press the power button for a long time the blue led start to blink to indicate ???

if you press even longer the power button the two leds are blinking alternatively to indicate (bluetooth search? / reset?) ???

I do not think that the bliking of the blue LED indicates that the power of the KB is down as it seems to still work for me.

When the two led are blinking the bluetooth connection is definitively down. But it apparently resume after some time?

For unknown reason I have lost connection between the KB and the tablet several times.

The connection has always been reestablished but I do not know how? When this happen I try several things but nothing seems help and eventually the connection is reestablished but I do not know why.  Smiley Wink

I have seen on Acer support a procedure to follow when the bluetooth connection with the KB  is dropped but it has never worked as indictated (you are suppose to discover the KB and enter a password in the KB).

I would be nice that someone from Acer provide a minimum of information on the above questions Smiley Happy
