I was trying to check my mail on one of my yahoo email addresses, when I suddenly saw a question, asking me to "either grant myself access to "servers" from other countries or not". Is this normal, knowing that my computer should not operate via "servers"?

Mail providers and mail set up is something that needs to be handled with the company that you select(ed) for your mail or sometimes the network connection provider offers also email services.  I would contact them for your issue.

 

If you use your unit in a personal/private setting and are never connected to a server with your computer I'd think this issue to be a little strange as well.  Don't know if your employer has server access on your computer you may want to check with your place of employment too to see about server usage or connections.
