Hi,

For about a month my 7750g is overheating for some reason, which makes playing games impossible for more than 5 minutes -> stutters, game freezes, shutdown. Before, gaming was no problem at all.. even Battlefield 3 ran fluently (proof: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrM6qHViiFo)

I had this problem several times and cleaning the fan always solved the problem, but not now.

So I have already cleaned the fan and air slots, updated the bios, checked for viruses but the problem continues.

Here are some pictures:

The last pic shows the temperature of CPU and GPU, shortly after booting. I also have already deleted unnecessary start programs from msconfig.

Does someone have an idea to solve this issue? I feel like reinstalling windows might solve the problem, but I just want to do that if it really is the last option.

Thanks in advance!

-Michael

BTW my specs are:

Intel Core i7-2670QM @2,2 Ghz (3,1 Ghz)
AMD Radeon HD 6850M, 1GB VRAM
8GB RAM
1000GB HDD

Win 7 64bit

hey there its great to see people who add in the info and i would like to say i admire your skills on the game. The issue with this system could be in overheating issue you were having. The system may be having the issue if the thermal compund had broken down due to the prolonged use while overheating. this would normally cause the unit to run slow, lock up, then shut down. If you have never done this before i would take the unit to a local repair shop or if the unit is in warranty call Acer support

Is the warranty still available when I have disassembled the laptop myself?

    Hello,

I have the same problem from a month with my AS7750G

After lot of reserch I beleave the problem is ''updated the bios''

I think in the new bios 1.21 the fan don't start fast soon enough to prevent the overheating.

Still, tommorow I will send my laptop to the repear shop and will see what they will find.

try playing and use a laptop cooler..

if not., then you have to take it to where you bought it or if it isnt in the warranty period,

go to nearest pc shop and maybe, you can repaste the video card...or adjust the fan to make it stronger...

maybe it overheats because of the low performance fan..

let them check it.. got that problem back with my prev. laptop

When cleaning the fan did you disturb the thermal paste?

You should Google your question and check some of the other solutions to similar problems, I found tons of answers.
