We have 4 ACER Aspire 5750G laptops running i7s, so far we have 3 of them having an issue with the C drive. Everytime you START or RESTART the machine it goes into a check disk.
In the event log under system we get this message:
The file system structure on the disk is corrupt and unusable, please run the CHKDSK utility on the volume. Event ID 55
On a normal shutdown of the system when windows boots up it goes through a check disk:
Checking file system on C:
The type of the file system is NTFS
Volume label is Acer
One of your disks needs to be checked for consistency
Not sure why this is happening to 3 out of the 4 of our systems at the sametime..unlikely that it is the Hard Drive in all cases. One thing we did notice is that McAfee Security Scan was install on 3 out of the 4 systems which may have gotten installed with Macromedia. Even after removing it the problem still presisted, most likely the damage has already been done? Any help with this please let us know.
