I was updating the BIOS on iconia W510 tablet when I got a blue screen with the error code 0xc000000d and to use a recovery cd to repair it. I dont have a recovery cd or anything. What can I do?

Did you try booting while Tapping F8 on a USB keyboard ? If you do not have the disks you must have the 64GB version with the repair partition. I do not have that since I have the 32GB.

The W510/511 does not seem to have a "Repair Boot" from the BIOS but might try the suggestions in http://pcsupport.about.com/od/windows-8/a/open-advanced-startup-options-windows-8.htm.

However if you cannot reach the repair partitions and do not have an installation disk then the only option I know of is to order the recovery disks from Acer (last time I looked they were U$20).

Reguardless any time you get a new PC it is a really good idea to creat a repair flash drive or CD if you do not have one.
