x223w - VGA not working? (input not supported)

Or maybe I'm not doing something right?  I'm just trying to hook up my 360 via VGA.  I have my PC hooked up via DVI.  When both are hooked up I use the OSD to navigate to the plug inserting icon.  I have 3 options here.  Analog, Digital and DDC/CI.  Digital is highlighted which I assume means DVI is connected.  If I switch it to analog the screen goes black and says "input not supported."  If I unplug my DVI cable and then only plug in the VGA cable I still get "input not supported."

Any help would be much appreciated this is driving me crazy.

For reference, I've used this same 360 and VGA cable on another monitor and it works fine.

It sounds like the resolution or refresh rate being sent by the 360 is not supported by the monitor.
