Hi everyone,
I’m using an Acer Predator PHN16-72 with the following specs:
- CPU: Intel Core i9-14900HX (2.20GHz base clock)
- GPU: 8GB VRAM
- RAM: 32GB
- Storage: 1TB Samsung SSD
While in Performance mode, the CPU temperature stays around 88–90°C even at idle.
When switching to Turbo mode, the temperature can exceed 100°C, even with no demanding tasks running.
I know this model uses liquid metal for cooling (similar to the PS5), so I’m wondering if these temperatures are still considered normal for this configuration.
Any advice or experience from other Predator PHN16-72 or 14900HX owners would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
