I recently purchased an Aspire AL16-54P laptop, and within less than one month of use I have measured the battery wear level at 24% degradation (via Windows battery report).
When I contacted phone support previously, I was told that a wear level below 40% is considered “normal” and therefore not a defect. However, I believe that 24% wear after just one month is unusually high and potentially outside typical manufacturing or warranty standards.
Could you please:
- Confirm whether a 24% wear level at < 1 month is acceptable under Acer’s internal battery condition standards and warranty policy.
- Provide the official documentation, specification or policy reference where Acer defines acceptable battery wear thresholds (e.g., %, time, cycles) for new laptops under warranty.
- Explain the next steps I should take if the wear level is outside what Acer considers normal (including battery replacement under warranty).
