Iconia W510 press and hold Windows button to sign in not working

I have an Iconia W510 that I just set up. I'm assuming after some Windows updates the welcome screen changed because it is now asking me to "Press and hold the Windows button, and then press the power button to sign in." When I turned the tablet on before I could just swipe the screen up and it would present the login screen. I don't have a keyboard with this tablet and I cannot get the sign in screen to display. No matter how I try it, pressing and holding the Windows button and then pressing the power button doesn't do anything. Is there a way to get around this?

Nevermind, I resolved this. This is another way of saying press ctrl+alt+delete to sign in. I had to use the Ease of Access button on the welcome screen to bring up an on-screen keyboard and then press ctrl+alt+delete on the on-screen keyboard to bring up the login screen.

Hi this solution does not work for me? I am currently trialling the W510 and this is a real drawback, it came with windows 8 pro but I cannot use it on the road in tablet mode when connected to a domain.

I think that this has real potential if this hurdle can be overcome.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
