What DDR5 size module can I use and at what speed can I use with this AL15-61P-R1JN laptop

I've just brought an Acer Aspire 5 Lite model number AL15-61P-R1JN.

This model has a AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS, 16GB Ram, which is split between 8GB LPDDR 5 non upgradable ram, and an 8GB DDR 5 upgradable ram.

What DDR 5 size module can I use and at what speed can I use with this laptop.

I previously have an Acer Aspire 5 45-515 laptop that has the same set up but with LPDDR 4 and DDR 4.

However, the speed of the ram is 3200mhz, but when went to upgrade the DDR 4 ram to 16GB, I had to downgrade to 2666mhz speed.

Is this the same with the Acer Aspire 5 Lite?

The Aspire Lite AL15‑61P is not yet listed in Crucial’s configurator, but it uses the same Lite‑series platform as the AL16‑51P. The soldered memory is LPDDR5, which runs at higher speeds (up to 6400–7500 MT/s depending on configuration), and cannot be upgraded. The single free slot accepts only standard DDR5 SO‑DIMMs, with official support up to DDR5‑5600.

For a 16 GB upgrade in slot 2, the safe choice is a Crucial DDR5‑5600 SO‑DIMM (non‑ECC, unbuffered, 1.1 V). This matches the controller’s supported speed and avoids downclocking. A 5200 MT/s module would work, but the system would then run at the lower speed.

So the recommended option is Crucial 16 GB DDR5‑5600 SO‑DIMM (e.g. CT16G56C46S5). Update to the latest BIOS first, then install the module. The system will run in asymmetric dual‑channel (Flex Mode), combining the soldered LPDDR5 with the slot module. SSD & RAM Upgrades | crucial.com
