Hi everyone,
I’m having consistent crashes when using GPU-intensive software like Lumion and Twinmotion on my Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 (RTX 4070). Sometimes it crashes while modeling, and almost always when I start a render or preview ; the program just closes abruptly with no warning or error message.
Here’s what I’ve already tried:
- Increased virtual memory (page file) significantly.
- Updated GPU drivers, Windows, and all Acer system drivers.
- Disabled overclocking and set GPU to default performance mode.
- Reinstalled Lumion and Twinmotion.
- Scanned for system file issues (sfc /scannow, DISM).
- Stress-tested the GPU using FurMark — no crashes or thermal issues during the test.
Despite all this, the problem persists. I’m trying to figure out if this points to a hardware issue (GPU, VRAM, or power delivery) or some software conflict or driver instability.
Has anyone else experienced similar crashes on this model, or is there a way to diagnose hardware faults (through Acer diagnostics or other GPU tests) before I take it to a service center?
Any help or suggestions would be really appreciated.
Thanks!
