Acer Vero AV14-Is it safe to keep pressing battery pinhole?

Hi, just ask question is it safe to keep pressing battery pinhole (just add a thick enough rubber on top of battery reset button so it can keep pressing with the bottom case pressure) as a solution of my laptop wont tun on after changing thermal paste ? or I just missing something that supposed to be press the button ?

My Acer Vero AV14 lightbulb indicator keeps flashing white light after I change the thermal paste without removing battery (yes my bad).

If I connect the charger, the flashing change to the battery amber light

but it can turn on normally if I keep push the battery pinhole button, just like normal laptop it can charge, discharge even limiting the 80% battery.

Hi Jack, thanks for answering, but what if "Push and Hold" the button so the button is in "pushed down" position all the time ? I know that the the battery reset procedure is press and release the button. I heard some acer laptop model has little curve of plastic on the closure so it can push the button on the motherboard and I believe this laptop not supposed to be like that.

Hi AnhEZ28, that also not solving my laptop issue and I think Ill keep using my laptop with battery pinhole pressed down and see what happen next. Thanks for your troubleshooting
