Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57 Won’t Charge (or) Turn On After Low Battery

I have an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57 laptop. The problem started earlier when I was using it — a low battery warning popped up. When I plugged in the charger, it didn’t start charging. After a while, the laptop suddenly turned off on its own. I tried charging it again, but the charging light just kept blinking, and the laptop wouldn’t turn on. I then tried pressing the power button for about 10–20 seconds, and the blinking charging light disappeared. After that, the laptop still wouldn’t charge — even when I plugged the charger back in, the charging light no longer lit up.

Step 1: Do a Power Reset (Discharge Residual Power)

This often fixes a “frozen” power circuit.

Unplug everything — charger, mouse, external drives, etc.
Flip the laptop over and look for a small battery pinhole reset button (should be near the bottom).
Use a paperclip or SIM pin to press and hold that button for 5–10 seconds.
Leave the laptop alone for a few minutes.
Then plug the charger back in (without turning it on yet) and check if the charging light comes on.

If the light comes back, let it charge for a few minutes before turning it on.
