Predator PHN16-73 USB-C stops working after install of Win 11 25H2 and new Insyde Software - Firmware - 1.0.7.0

My Predotor PHN16-73 has a UCM-UCSI ACPI

an error:

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

The I/O device is configured incorrectly or the configuration parameters to the driver are incorrect

all USB-C funcions are dead!!!

After upgraing the windows and upgrate that is in the win update to the Insyde Software this startd right after the first restart , any solution would be nice.

the device is on Garante so I will send it to the dealer if no solution is found ,

I have tried all the tricks I know short of installing a updated BIOS since its on the Latest 1.07 version

the device error log and the upgrade log prove that there is connection btween the two , and i suspect the Firmwqar pat of the upgrade after reserch

Your laptop already has the correct BIOS — version 1.07 from September 2025 is the latest official release from Acer for this model. The issue you are seeing with USB‑C is caused by the Windows Update that pushed an Insyde firmware component. That update created a mismatch with the UCM‑UCSI ACPI driver, which is why the device shows a Code 10 and the ports stopped working.

This means the hardware is fine, and the BIOS is fine — the problem is a firmware/driver regression from the Windows 25H2 Update. Acer Services in your country will usually re‑flash the EC/firmware and reinstall the validated drivers to restore USB‑C.

As an alternative to sending it in, you can try the new Reinstall Windows option in Windows 11 25H2. This feature reinstalls the current version of Windows while keeping your files, and it can repair driver corruption introduced by Windows Update. You NEVER EVER install any of the firmware's from the Microsoft Windows Update like shown below as it can corrupt the bios or the gpu firmware if there is a gpu firmware listed in the Microsoft windows Updates.

The below caption of the Windows Update firmware file, is for my PHN16-71 and I didn't install this file for the threat of what has happened to your firmware update, as the Microsoft listed 5.44.1.18 firmware below from my Acer support page is the exact Acer bios version 1.18 that Acer has and you should ONLY update from the Acer support page and NOT from Microsoft Windows Update.

Always use the Acer bios and firmware listed updates for your Predator Helios Neo PHN16-73 model from the official Acer support page as what you are experiencing is what happens, as your bios is corrupted and you need to send your laptop to Acer Tech Support as the Acer techs will need to reflash the bios to the version 1.07 that your laptop has.

That is the only solution in fixing your laptop as its got a corrupted bios, do not waste time or your Acer 12 months warranty and send your laptop to Acer Tech Support in your country asap! Good luck and hope this helps you out furter.
