Hello everyone,
I recently performed a clean installation of Windows 11 (23H2) on my laptop, an Acer Aspire Go 15 (Model: AG15-51P-52YZ).
The Issue:Before the clean install, the dedicated F4 Microphone Mute/Unmute key and its indicator LED light worked perfectly. Now, after reinstalling Windows, the key function and the light are completely dead, although the microphone works when muted via Windows software.
Drivers & Troubleshooting Steps Taken:I checked the official Acer support page for my model and installed the necessary drivers, but the issue persists:
- Successful Installations:
- Standard Intel Chipset Driver
- Intel IO (Serial IO) Driver
- Failed Installation:
- The Intel Chipset Utility installer failed during installation (it gave an error). I suspect this missing utility might be related, or it could be interfering with other driver functions.
- Missing Software:
- I cannot find the standard "Hotkey Utility" or "LaunchManager" on the Acer site for this specific model.
My Question:Which specific Acer utility (maybe named differently like "Quick Access" or similar) is responsible for enabling the F4 key functionality and its LED indicator? Furthermore, how can I resolve the installation failure for the "Intel Chipset Utility"?
Any guidance on which file to download from Acer support or how to force the installation of the Chipset Utility would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
