Sudden FPS drop issues on Predator laptop after about 30–40 minutes. Please Advise.

Hey everyone,
I’ve been facing a strange issue with my Acer Predator lately. During long gaming sessions (especially with heavy games like Cyberpunk or Apex), my FPS suddenly drops after about 30–40 minutes. The laptop becomes extremely hot, and the fans spin loudly, but the temperature still hits around 90°C.

I’ve already updated BIOS, GPU drivers, and even cleaned the fans, but the issue continues. I’m not sure if this is thermal throttling or a power delivery problem. Also, my battery drains faster than usual even when the laptop is plugged in.

Has anyone else experienced similar overheating or sudden FPS drop issues on Predator laptops?
I’d really appreciate any insights, or even recommended cooling solutions. I’m open to trying external cooling pads or software tweaks if they actually help.

Raise laptop about an inch above a hard surface to promote better airflow. Take care not to block vents. Also FYI laptop will start to throttle when battery charge drops below about 50% actual full capacity even if plugged in and not overheating. So if your battery's wear level is high and actual full capacity is significantly less than designed, it won't take long for throttling to happen. Then it's time to stop gaming and allow the battery to charge back up to 100% before resuming. Or replace the battery for longer play times.
