My laptop ACER ASPIRE LITE AL15-52

What i am seeing against the device sound video and game controller is usb advanced audio device. Can someone confirm this ?

i do not think this is quite right but do not think this is what my laptop came installed with. In my acer driver pack, i see a realtek sound driver.

The audio hardware has definitely not malfunctioned it just seems offline. This is NOT a driver problem for sure. is it possible to know the manufacturer as i believe it could be a firmware problem and a possible erasure of the eeprom data (which may require a re-flash).

Hardware ids are

USB\VID_0D8C&PID_0289&REV_0708&MI_00

and

USB\VID_0D8C&PID_0289&MI_00

Could anybody here proffer some information or advice on this or share an experience similar to this?

Acer folks - do help out to make me understand the problem

VID_0D8C is C-Media audio chip. You don't have realtek audio chip.
