Hello Everyone, I have this laptop and I was playing around with OpenCore & Hackintosh(Forgive me Apple) until I got bored of it all and decided to remove Hackintosh which should have only left Windows 10 (It was a dual boot). I mounted the EFI, removed the OC folder and replaced the Bootx64.efi which I backed up previously.
I was expecting that Windows Boot Manager will again start working but after restarting I was met with "Operating System not found". This did not seem like a big problem as I had a recovery pendrive BUT for some reason, the BIOS simply does not work at all. Pressing F2 does nothing, Pressing F12 does nothing except a single beep and the MEB-X menu triggered by Ctrl+P is also not working. I have tried resetting the bios and stuff but that did not help. Only Ctrl+Alt+Delete works at the OS not found but that is not useful at all. USB also does not do anything
I thought this was a bios corruption so I downloaded a BIOS online because Acer has stopped support for this device. I tried to use some online guides but none of them are useful. My BIOS structure is different from the ones given online.
I have a .exe and extracting that gives some files and two folders named BIOS and KBC . In the BIOS folder there are two .ROM files. I tried to flash the one which I have determined as corresponding to my device and it does nothing. I remove the battery, insert pendrive, press Fn+Esc and then plug in the device after which I power it on. The display does not start(that's a change) but there is no flashing lights as descibed in the various guides. Only a single blue light is there without any flashing and nothing ever happens. I have tried many different names but I just cannot figure out anything for this. I am not even sure whether I am using the correct method of flashing.
Please help me with bios flashing or if you think it isn't required then what should I do fix this whole situation
