Acer Aspire 5 ( windows 10) laptop can't detect home Wifi after switching to spectrum

I have an Acer Aspire 5 ( not sure of sn atm) my internet company switched to spectrum. Now my laptop does not see my wifi ( it sees others but not mine) and once they took over- i now have a "hidden network" listed . I tried to enter my info in the hidden -but have no luck. I know it is not the laptop wifi itself- as it sees and connects to other networks fine. Yesterday i was able to plug in a belkin usb wifi adapter. once i did that - under networks - i now have a drop down window : wifi 1 and wifi 2 - on the wifi2 i can see my network finally and connect ( but that is only thru the belkin adaptor) Spectrum told me to call you guys that it is a laptop issue and not them- can anyone please tell me how to fix this?

Your Aspire 5 can pick up other wifi than there is no issue with laptop, issue is with Spectrum.

But still follow few steps given below

To fix your Acer Aspire 5 not seeing your Wi-Fi, first, try restarting both the laptop and your router, and check if Wi-Fi is enabled using the Fn + F3 keys or in Windows settings. If that doesn't work, update or reinstall the wireless driver in Device Manager; if the adapter isn't visible at all, right-click "Network adapters" and select "Scan for hardware changes
