Does my Aspire AL15-52 support DisplayPort?

Hello everyone,

I have been trying to connect my laptop to a second monitor via USB Type-C cable, but my second monitor only reads "No Signal." After trying to troubleshoot with the double monitor's customer support, I am curious if the laptop actually supports DisplayPort.

I am able to connect the monitor via HDMI, but a big reason why I bought the laptop was because it said it supports Display Port (according to the product description and the User Manual, anyways). However, even the tech support for the double monitor was stumped in trying to figure it out.

So, how can I know for sure that my laptop is compatible? Google has been giving me confusing answers.

The Aspire AL15-52 does not support DisplayPort over USB-C. That port is limited to data transfer and possibly charging, but it does not carry video output. For external displays, you’ll need to use the HDMI port.
