For the past few months I've noticed that while using my laptop with external monitors sometimes they will take longer to wake up from it's sleep, and my HDMI output has been failing for a while now, noticing noise and sometimes no output at all until I move it or shake the connector to reduce the noise coming from the output. But just recently I noticed that I've been losing FPS in games like Apex Legends and I've struggled to get over 60 FPS in the game, and windows not acting properly as they sometimes get stuck in place or frozen and I have to shake the screen to get it to clear up.
On Wednesday afternoon I left my computer on at my desk connected to my external monitor as I usually do and had lunch downstairs and when I came back up I noticed it asleep and tried to wake it up as usual but I got no response, even after disconnecting the monitor. I then promptly forced a shutdown on my laptop and waited a few minutes to boot it back up, and the keyboard lit up as usual, but then it wouldn't even show the boot screen with my custom logo. I waited a few minutes but it didn't respond so I shut it down once more and waited again. After a second time I decided to disconnect the batter and let it drain for a few minutes and reconnected it, and I finally paid attention to it and the keyboard turns on for a few seconds, then it powers down and cycles again and does not go further than that.
I have also disconnected the CMOS and shorted it out, tried out different RAM modules as well and it is still not booting up properly. I don't know if it's the graphics drivers, a power shortage or anything and I'm desperate to get it working because it's my only workstation, I do not have a desktop unfortunately and I've been using it daily for college, work and gaming. I will take it to a repair shop on Monday but I want to know if this has happened to anyone else and if there is a fix for it or not. I will also attach a video showing the cycle and it not going any further than what I have already explained in the post. Thanks in advance for anyone reading this.
