Win 11 Aspire 3 Stuck in Tablet Mode (A315-24PT-R288)

Hi all, I just got my new Aspire 3 today. I was noticing that certain things were weird (the Taskbar is doing a partial minimization thing, where it drops about two-thirds the way and doesn't show any pinned icons; I can't get Windows explore to use Compact mode, etc).

Googling around, I see the problem is that the laptop is stuck in tablet mode. I don't know how that can be though — while this does have a touchscreen, it's jus a normal clamshell that doesn't open up beyond 150 degrees or so.

And I'm not detaching the mouse or keyboard or anything (it's a laptop, it doesn't do that).

Why does this laptop think it's in tablet mode? And more importantly (since the Tablet Mode controls got ditched from W10 to W11), how do I convince it that it's not in tablet mode.

Try the Microsoft Turn tablet mode on or off in Windows 11 steps as it should get out of tablet mode.

If that doesn't work, then first update bios to the last version 1.25 for the Aspire A315-24PT laptop then do a clean install of Win-11 25H2 and do all the updates to that last OS build: 26200.6725, do all this with the Rufus 4.9 bootable USB and follow their guide and see if a new installation will fix this up.

Otherwise send the laptop back to Acer tech Support in your country as there must be something wrong, as this laptop should also operate in normal mode not only tablet mode. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
