Hi everyone,
this is my first post here and I hope I’m following the forum rules correctly.
I own an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-58, and I recently decided to upgrade both the RAM and the SSD.
After checking compatibility online, I bought a Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSD and a Crucial DDR4 2×16 GB kit.
I updated the BIOS to the latest version available, installed the new RAM and SSD, and used the Windows Media Creation Tool to reinstall Windows (via USB).
On the first boot, everything worked perfectly, both the SSD and RAM were detected and running fine.
I installed all the drivers, restarted the laptop several times, and everything seemed stable.
However, after shutting down the laptop completely, it no longer booted.
The keyboard lights turn on, but the screen stays completely black, and I can’t even access the BIOS.
After several attempts, I realized that removing and reinserting the RAM temporarily fixes the issue, it shows the Acer logo again and lets me enter the BIOS.
Here’s what I’ve already tried, based on what I found online:
Disabled VMD Controller
Disabled Fast Boot
Disabled Secure Boot
Tried shutting down the system using a custom command line shortcut from the desktop (to rule out Windows power issues), but it didn’t change anything
Unfortunately, the problem persists.
Has anyone experienced the same issue or found a fix?
Any help would be greatly appreciated — thank you in advance!
I'm attaching my BOOT, so you can check what i'm saying.
