Acer needs to seriously reconsider who they contract 3rd party technical support to, as AnswersBy act like a scam outfit.
They won't even hear your issue and let you know if they can help you without you paying first. RED FLAG. This is important, because they will try their best to not refund you 100% if they cannot provide you service.
In my situation, they could not perform the task needed. Jai, their sales guy, gave me some bs excuse why he could only refund $80 of the $99 charge. I said bs, refund the whole thing since no service was provided. It's been two weeks and no refund has posted. SCUMBAG SCAMMERS!!!
Find another way to get your technical support, or file a repair ticket and have ChatGPT5 or some other LLM write your ticket so that it gets coded properly and does not receive the bs default response to pay $99 and call the support line that will automatically send you to the scammers at AnswersBy.
I for one, will never buy an Acer product again. Definitely going to go with Framework for my future laptop needs as this has got to be the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
Any other options you know of to get support when you need it since Acer treats all of their out of warranty customers as Untouchables?
