Hi everyone — I’m using an Acer Nitro 5 (AN515 series / Nitro V variants) and I’m running into a frustrating problem that I’ve seen other Nitro owners mention here. Whenever I try to load my website — Aircon Servicing — or log into the WordPress backend, the machine often becomes unresponsive: the browser tabs hang or crash, the WP admin pages timeout or load painfully slowly, and sometimes the whole system freezes for several seconds (or requires a hard restart). I also notice large, sudden spikes in disk and CPU usage in Task Manager while the site or admin pages are open, and the fan spins up aggressively even with light browsing.
I’ve already tried the usual troubleshooting steps: updated Windows, installed the latest BIOS and chipset/NVIDIA drivers, flushed browser cache, disabled extensions, tested with different browsers, reset power plans, and confirmed there are no obvious background processes or scheduled tasks using 100% resources — but the issue keeps happening. It feels like a mix of browser / driver / power-management interaction (or something hitting the storage subsystem) rather than a single broken plugin on my site.
Has anyone else with a Nitro 5 / AN515 / ANV15 (or Nitro V) experienced similar freezes or severe slowdowns specifically when loading websites or WordPress admin pages? If so, what fixed it for you — firmware/driver combinations, BIOS settings, a specific Windows update rollback, or a Nitro utility tweak? Any troubleshooting steps that actually found the root cause would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any tips!
