For laptops --
- When designing the keyboard, ensure that the letters on the keys are very dark or else it will be difficult to read.
- Ensure there is no need to press the fn key to use f1 and f2, meaning make the settings (like f2 for rename and f5 for refresh) work with a single key press.
- Include a total of 4 USB ports as USB is used much more than any other port.
- Also, don't include the page up/down keys on the arrow keys because then it requires 2 clicks to use them.
- The gliding on the touchpad should be very smooth, and the touchpad should be quite big to use (but not too big).
- Don't include USB 2 ports; they're old.
- The power button should be on the extreme far right side at the top, and the power supply port should be on the left side (this will be convenient for hands).
- The arrow keys should be big (currently they are small and difficult to use).
- The hinges should sustain many times of opening and closing the laptop.
- Make the batteries user-replaceable.
- Make it with very sturdy plastic.
- The keys should be very soft to press.
- The power button should be separate from the other keys.
- Design with more battery backup (8 to 10 hours).
Forward this to your development team or else mistakes will happen.
