We attempted to order my wife a new Acer Aspire 3 from Amazon in June. We got the Aspire 3 in 2 days and she's been loving it. However, she lost the charger last weekend so I ordered a new charger only to find out that it doesn't it. After troubleshooting for a few days, I realized today that instead of getting the A315-24, we were sent the A325-42. I have tried finding ANY INFO on the on the A325-42 but can't seem to find anything other than it appears to be for the Indian market and not the US. However, it charged, ran, and updated Windows just fine here in the US for the last 3 months. Now that it has been just past 90 days (96 days, I think) we are out of the return window. The charger we got as a replacement has a tip of 3.0*1.1and the AC port is closer to 4.0*1.7 (but I'm not sure if that is correct). I tried looking all over the Acer website, but I can't find ANYTHING on this laptop or the charger. Can anyone point us to the right place? The right specs? The right charger?
And no, the A315 chargers will not work. 3.0*1.1 and 5.5*1.7 don't fit. We've tried.
