Hello,
I have purchased an acer laptop for a few years as backup clean that runs windows 10, I want to update it fully before oct 31. I didn't install any program other than Microsoft office on it.
The model is A517-51g-55g9. It has been just sitting in a shelf without being used (as a clean backup computer) for years.
I cannot update windows 10 for some reason. When I download the windows 10 update it had gone through (and the windows security update properly). But during the restart and reboot phase of the update, one of the screen it have a small windows that said fail setup or something then it reverting to the previous setup.
I really need to update windows to the latest version by oct 31 please. I have tried to download and update many times over a few months. I have little usage of this backup computer. I have already uninstalled the factory Norton anti virus.
When I took it out the battery is longer able to maintain any charge for some reason (is there any way to fix it without replacing the battery - it's a second question)?
Also a very annoying sign saying acer something is no longer available as of some date that has long passed (and I don't know how to get rid of that annoying sign whenever I start up the computer).
