Hi everyone,
I wanted to share my experience to raise awareness about a frustrating issue affecting the Acer Nitro V15-41 (ANV15-41).
Since I updated my BIOS to version 1.15 (and even after updating to later versions like 1.31), I’ve had serious problems controlling my laptop’s fans. They constantly run at very high speed—around 5000+ RPM—even when the temperature is low. The fan control slider in NitroSense always resets itself to “Auto,” and I can’t manually adjust the fan speeds anymore. This makes the laptop very noisy and uncomfortable to use.
I’ve tried everything I could think of to fix it: reinstalling NitroSense, updating all drivers, resetting BIOS settings, and even a full system reset. Nothing has worked so far.
This issue doesn’t just affect me; many other users have reported it too. It seems related to changes in the Embedded Controller (EC) introduced in the recent BIOS updates.
I’m really hoping Acer acknowledges this officially and releases a BIOS or firmware update to fix the problem. Until then, I’m sharing this to get more visibility and connect with others facing the same issue.
If you have an Acer Nitro V15-41 and have experienced this too, please comment or share so we can push for a solution together. Thanks for reading and for your support!
