Purchased a Swift GO 16 AI laptop in May during my trip back to Taiwan, and I am now back in Vancouver working. Last night, while doing some design work with Adobe Illustrator and scanning some documents, the laptop shut down and attempted to restart, then a message "No Bootable Device" was displayed on the screen; my heart sank. I tried everything online with the F2 into BIOS suggestion, and none of it worked.
I thought I'd contact Acer here, but for warranty, they request S/N and SNID inputs, but guess what, apparently S/N and SNID of ACER laptops purchased from Taiwan are not recognizable in the North American database, so I couldn't get any help at all…so much for the International Traveller's Warranty.
Thank god I have my old ASUS gaming laptop that is still working like a tank after 5 years. I can still do some work, but many of the design works I was working on that didn't sync to the cloud are lost.
So basically now I'm stuck with a 4-month-old laptop with some of my important work in it that I cannot open or get help on…any suggestions?
I have attached some screenshots of the BIOS, not sure if this means the hard drive is still detectable? If so, I would really like to save the files on my hard drive if possible. Thank you all.
