Hello Everyone!
This is my first time using an Acer brand, right now I am using the AN515-45-R5RJ model of the Acer Nitro, and I just like to ask: if the battery level drops from around 100% to instantly 97%, 94%, 91%, 80%, and it continues to do so, even when I'm not playing anything or doing anything that requires quite a heavy load, is it normal or should I be concerned?
I'd like to note that I'm very much aware (at this point) about Acer's issue regarding it's battery depletion regardless if it's plugged in when gaming, and as some users here and a friend of mine had already stated, it is normal when the laptop uses the battery even when connected to power when using laptop at peak levels. However, I am worried because the battery seems to be dropping while plugged in, even when I'm just using browsers and opening my file manager, even when the device is not currently at it's peak level of performance. I always encounter this issue everytime I power on/turn on my laptop, and then I plug it in, 1 minute later, after peeking at the battery notificstion, I noticed that my battery suddenly drops to 97%, then 95%, and then 80%, and it continues to do so. The issue seems to subside when I unplug it and plug it again, and it goes back to normal (it charges back to normal). My friend and I had read about BIOS updates, and I have already updated every drivers on my laptop, including the issue at hand (the battery, which I did an hour ago. I'm asking if is it possible that I have a faulty battery or a defective charger? Is this considered "normal" for this model, or should I be concerned about such a drop in battery level even when I'm on a rather light use?
