Intel Iris Xe (i7-1165G7) — browser & WordPress backend freezing frequently

Hi everyone — I’m using a laptop with Intel Iris Xe Graphics (Intel Core i7-1165G7) and I’m running into a repeating problem when I try to work on my website, Lauth Investigations (including the WordPress backend). When I try to load admin pages or edit posts the browser will hang or become completely unresponsive, tabs freeze, the whole UI lags for long periods and sometimes the display briefly blacks out before recovering; on a few occasions the browser process spikes the CPU/GPU and the system becomes sluggish enough that I have to force-quit and reboot. I’ve seen reports here that sound very similar to what I’m experiencing. I’ve already gone through the basic troubleshooting — Windows and BIOS updates, reinstalled/rolled back Intel graphics drivers, cleared browser cache, tested in multiple browsers, disabled extensions, and checked power/graphics settings — but the problem persists. Has anyone else with the same Intel Iris Xe (i7-1165G7) seen freezing or major slowdowns specifically when running web apps or WordPress backends, and if so what fixed it for you? Any suggestions appreciated.

What is the exact model number of your lap[top, is it an Aspire A515-56 etc, as with these Intel cpu integrated graphics you should not update their drivers to the latest drivers that Intel releases as they can cause the problems that you are experiencing.

With the Intel Iris Xe i7-1165G7 cpu graphics you need to completely uninstall this driver in Device Manager first, then install the oem Intel Iris Xi driver provided by Acer on your laptops exact model number Drivers and Manuals support page and install that first, then allow windows update to update this driver to the most compatible new driver available for your model laptop.

Also make sure that you have adequate memory ram like for an i7-115G7 its max memory capacity is 64GB at either removable ram of DDR4-3200MT/s CL22or internal soldered ram type LPDDR4x-4267MT/s

So for the at browser & WordPress you should have at least 16GB or even 32GB DDR4-3200MT/s CL22 or 32GB internal soldered ram type LPDDR4x-4267MT/s, as for the task that you are using this laptop for, more ram is need so that the whatever model laptop you have will function at its best and most adequate, as that is also a reason why the "backend freezing frequently". Try all that and let us know, as it should fix this problem.
