Hello,
I recently purchased the Acer Predator Neo 16 AI PHN16-73-934N with Intel Ultra 9 275HX and RTX 5070 Ti. While gaming or running real-time applications, the system experiences noticeable stutters.
To investigate, I ran LatencyMon for extended sessions. The results consistently show:
- High DPC latency from
nvlddmkm.sys
(NVIDIA GPU driver) and ACPI.sys
. - Latency spikes up to 1600–3200 µs, well above safe thresholds for real-time workloads.
- LatencyMon conclusion: “Your system appears to be having trouble handling real-time audio and other tasks… one problem may be related to power management, disable CPU throttling settings in Control Panel and BIOS setup. Check for BIOS updates.”
This suggests the issue is not only NVIDIA drivers, but also firmware/BIOS power management and ACPI handling.
I have already installed all the latest drivers directly from Acer’s support page, including:
- NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti driver v32.0.15.7276 (1.26 GB)
- Intel chipset, Serial I/O, DPTF, ISST, ME, LAN, WLAN, Bluetooth, Realtek Audio, and others
- BIOS is currently at V1.07 (09/12/2025) — the latest available.
Request:
Can Acer confirm if upcoming BIOS/EC firmware updates will address DPC latency and ACPI/interrupt handling on the PHN16-73? This issue impacts overall responsiveness and causes stutter even with fully updated drivers.
Thank you.
