Having Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues on My Acer Laptop – Need Help!

Hi everyone,

I’ve recently been facing a problem with my Acer laptop’s Wi-Fi connection. The issue is:

• Sometimes the Wi-Fi disconnects randomly, even though the router is working fine.
• At times, the laptop shows “Connected, no Internet.”
• Other devices on the same network (phone, tablet) work perfectly, so it seems specific to my laptop.

I’ve already tried a few things:

1. Restarted the router and laptop.
2. Updated the Wi-Fi driver through Device Manager.
3. Disabled and re-enabled the network adapter.
4. Ran Windows network troubleshooter (it resets but the issue comes back).

Has anyone else faced this issue with their Acer laptop? Any fixes or settings I should check (like power management, adapter settings, BIOS update, etc.)?

To fix random Wi-Fi disconnections, power cycle your router and modem, check physical connections, and ensure your device is close enough to the router. Other solutions include updating your device's Wi-Fi drivers, checking for physical or network interference, and contacting your Internet Service Provider (ISP) if problems persist, as the issue could be with their service.

1. Restart your equipment: Unplug your router and modem, wait 30 seconds, then plug them back in.
2. Check cables: Inspect the cables connecting your modem and router for any damage or loose connections.
3. Improve signal strength: Move your device closer to the router or place the router in a central, unobstructed location.
4. Update firmware: Outdated router firmware can cause instability. Check your router's settings for an update option.
5. Check for network overload: Too many devices connected to your network simultaneously can cause disconnections.
6. Reset network settings: On your device, you can reset network settings or run the network troubleshooter to fix software glitches. 

Device & Software Fixes

1. Update drivers: An outdated Wi-Fi driver on your device can lead to connectivity issues.
2. Check device settings: Ensure power management settings are not set to disable the Wi-Fi adapter to save power.
3. Disconnect from incorrect networks: Make sure your device is connecting to the correct Wi-Fi network and not a similar-sounding one from a Neighbour
