Bluetooth earphones won't connect in Acer Nitro 5

I've had the Acer Nitro 5 for 2 years now, and I always need to have wired earphones on me, but now mine is broken, and I want to use Bluetooth ones. The problem is: it actually connects, but only when the earphones are extremely close to the laptop. I mean, when I lay them on the keyboard, they connect to the Bluetooth, but the moment I put them, it doesn't matter how close I am to the screen, they disconnect. It also happens with my bluetooth controller (I've been using wires since too).

The Bluetooth driver has been updated. I've downloaded them from the Acer support site for my laptop model, but nothing. I have also followed a lot of YouTube tutorials since, but none address that specific issue. Is there anything that I could check? Should I seek a repair shop?

Give us more details of the components that you have, like what exact Nitro model laptop and the exact earphone model that you are using. I've been using a Nitro AN515-56 laptop for 4 years and I've never ever had a problem with the BT connection to earphones or earbuds, I've used JBL earphones and now I'm using the Sennheiser Momentum 4 Bluetooth earphones and the Momentum 4 earbuds and they connect and work 100% with my Nitro AN515-56 with its Killer AX1650i Wi-Fi/BT card and its got a really good signal range all around my house.

What I suggest that you do is install the Acer initial Bluetooth driver that was provided for your Nitro laptop model from the Acer Drivers and Manuals page and if that doesn't fix the problem, then buy a new exact Wi-Fi/BT card for your Nitro laptop on eBay as they are cheap and see if the BT in that new card fixes this problem, as the problem that you are encountering is very strange.

Note: the only BT problem I've had with my 2021 mode AN515-56 Nitro 5 laptop, is with the BT driver for its Killer AX1650i Wi-Fi/BT card, as its BT section refuses to work with a new BT driver and only works with the old 2021/11/11 Intel BT driver version 22.40.0.2 and nothing else works, but I've got the same model Killer AX1650i fitted in my newest PHN16-71 Predator Neo and the BT updates perfectly in that card.
