% 5 battery wear on a brand new Predator Helios Neo 16 AI PHN16-73 laptop

Hi,

I bought a brand new Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 AI laptop on 18 September 2025 . I installed Windows Home 11 and got necessary driver and Windows updates etc. Then, I initially checked laptop's battery health by HW-info . It showed %1.8 wear level and battery cycle count was 5. After that, I calibrated battery via using Predator Sense app. Then when I checked again; The hw-info started to show %5 battery wear level. I checked this level via other apps and Windows' own utilities.

My question is : is it normal to have %5 weared down battery for a brand new Acer Laptop. And just 1 calibration caused almost %3 more wear to battery increasing it from %1.8 to %5

NO, those stats should not be like that and as high as that. Below is my Predator Neo PHN16-71 wear rate of its battery that is 10 months old since new and taking the laptop out of its box and its battery is at 7% Wear level and at 25 Cycle Count as shown below. This laptop has been used in a mobile state about 25% of its life the rest its been used plugged into the mains power. So do the sums, as for a new laptop that has hardly been used, a 5% wear level is way to high and even 5 cycle count is also high.
