Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 (i5-14500HX, model PHN16-72-52PC). Charging issue

Hello, I’m having an issue with my Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 (i5-14500HX, model PHN16-72-52PC).

When I first plug in the charger and power on the laptop, it shows as not charging. If I unplug and reconnect the charger, it briefly shows charging, then stops. However, if I shut down the laptop with the charger connected and then power it back on, it shows charging normally.

I’d like to ask:

• Is this problem related to the battery hardware or a software/power management setting?
• I tried disabling the Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery in Device Manager, but then I can’t see the charging status. Is this recommended?

For reference, I’m using the laptop on default settings and haven’t changed any configurations.
