Hello,i need some help with my acer booting up issues.
This old laptop was dead, and out of curiosity and for hobby, ive choosen to repair it. the first time the laptop did not post and had a dead battery, so i ordered a new one and in the wait i was able to make it post to the point where he said that an OS was not present, and i managed to reinstall windows. since windows has to be activated and my key wasnt working, i decided to install a linux distro (zorin). it was then that, while the os was installing, the laptop screen started blinking every 2 or 3 secs and the laptop became unresponsive. after a long time in that condition, i tried to restart and that was the worst decision i could make. now the laptop is in the same condition as before, no post and this time i cant get it to make it work as i did last time.the laptop now cant get to the bios, blank screen and when i press the f keys or any other keys it beeps, not in a code like way, but when i press any key. in the meantime the battery arrived and in hopes that the problem is the gpu i ordered a new cpu with integrated graphics to make it work (i spent very little money,not wanting to spend too much for a that old laptop).
while i wait the new cpu to arrive, what could i do to make it work? the hard drive is completely empty and working as i tested on my desktop, the battery and psu is in good state, the cpu and gpu have little thermal paste, but the paste should come with the cpu.
again, could you all give me some help?
