So this laptop has been a nightmare for the past 4 months now. The heating on this thing has been horrendous. CPU started getting 80-95C while idle. I noticed it would jump in temperatures when I plugged it in and went down when unplugged. I've searched all over the internet for ways to lower it like adjusting the power settings, bought an expensive fan designed with this laptop specifically, updated all drivers, bios, ramped up the fans to max, etc.
I sent it to a repair shop and they said the fans weren't working properly and they claimed to fix the issue. They did not. I contacted Acer (their support is terrible) and and they sent me a new power cable to see if that was the problem and nothing changed. So I sent my laptop to them for repairs specifying the heating problem and they didn't fix it either
They claimed I had a faulty SSD and replaced the 4 terabyte one and gave me a 900g once as a replacement and told me they wouldn't give me a 4 because it came with a 3rd party one (so I got screwed there) but they didn't mention the heating problem even though I sent a 2 page report going over everything I needed them to look at.
I brought it to a different repair shop and they couldn't find anything that was really causing the problem. I bought a thermal paste and had the liquid metal removed and replaced. The CPU temps went down (ranging about 65-70C while idle) but the moment I got into a game, it was at 95C (which people told me is dangerous) and then wouldn't go down. The repair shops never said my motherboard or anything they can find was damaged or glitching.
I'm at my wits end here. This thing was $4K and I've regretted owning this machine and due to the warranty, if I want a replacement laptop I'll have to send it to them for another month 3 more times. Please help me.
