I am experiencing intermittent audio crackling and popping when using my Audient iD14 MK2 audio interface on my laptop. These issues occur only when the audio interface is connected via USB.

When I remove the interface and use my laptop’s built-in headphone output, audio playback is completely fine, with no distortion or pops.

I have already verified and adjusted the following:

• Driver installation and updates
• Buffer length settings
• Power management settings (High Performance mode enabled)
• Tested all USB ports and multiple USB cables

Despite these steps, the issue persists. The wdf01000.sys file seems to be involved in the audio dropouts.

This is a compatibility issue with the Audient iD14 MK2 interface and your Nitro AN16-42 laptop, you need to consult Audient. But, I would suggest that you do the following steps below and see if you can connect this interface to your Nitro laptop after doing all the below uninstalls and reinstalls:

• Completely uninstall then do a clean reinstall of the Realtek audio,
• Use the DDU uninstaller in "Safe Mode" to uninstall the AMD cpu graphics and audio and the NVidia audio and graphics drivers
• Then reinstall all these drivers with the oem Acer initial sullied drivers from the Nitro AN16-42 support page.

As using DDU will clean all drivers off your Nitro AN16-42 and reinstall all these drivers fresh so there are no faulty drivers that can be an issue and should stops the "intermittent audio crackling and popping when using my Audient iD14 MK2 audio interface" otherwise, its a compatibility issue with the Audient iD14 MK2.
