DOES MY NITRO 5 SAFE FROM KB5063878 AFTER I INITIATE A RESET MY PC?

Yesterday while I'm patching my Ran Online Game, i experience a very slow loading the patch, and after i notice that my Drive D SSD is no longer listed in My PC. i got worried, i decide to reset my pc twice, the first one is failed because i connect to wifi during the process ending the update was running and after i saw KB5063878 on the history. so i decide to reset again this morning and make sure not connect to wifi and bypass the microsoft log in, and immediately turn off update. do you think my device is safe even thought i didnt update the system until before the aug patch? how can i install update and avoid that KB5063878 to be installed? please help.
