flickering issues with my Acer Nitro VG240Y

I have this monitor working perfectly for over 2 years and just a few weeks ago, I have some double fuzzy images on both at the bottom part of the monitor just enough to cover the taskbar and at the top of the monitor just enough to cover the tabs of a browser which doesn't bother me at that time since fuzzy images are still readable. But now, it seems to flicker on the whole screen.

As a context for the image, the white light doesn't come with the flickering it's just on a browser at the time when I took the picture.

I tried updating my graphics card but the flickering doesn't seem to stop.

Things that I haven't tried yet:

• Changing display slot
• Buying a new display cable
• Change displayport to HDMI
  

I'll leave an update once I have tried everything on the list above. Are there any things that I've missed to fix this issue?
