I'm using Nitro 5 AN515-57 (RTX 3050). I'm using arch linux as primary os….eventhough i have windows in it as dual boot….I would like to have the ability to limit battery charging at 80% in linux similar to that achieved by acer care centre. I tried using tlp, and also acer-wmi-battery in linux but both of them failed to achieve the charging limitation function. If there exist any methods to achieve this functionality in linux…that would be helpful
One more thing I would like to know , from hardware perspective , is it bad for the battery health to use the laptop as full time plugged in, without the charging limitation function, ie the charge level stays on 100%…Does the laptop switch to use only the ac power after the battery is fully charged.
