I am using an Acer Aspire E15. Recently I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10.
With Windows 8.1, I used a local sign in password. With Windows 10 the local password was removed and it requested a new password setup via an email address.
I opened a new email address specifically for a new password. Somewhere along the way I did something wrong and as a result I now have two login user accounts showing on screen. Both accounts are linked to the same email address. So now when I want to access my laptop the system opens with one of the user accounts. I then have to click on the other user account to sign in. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of having different passwords for each account. (hope you are still with me!)
I wanted to delete the user account which I cannot access, But the problem is I cannot now remember the password to open the email (yes, I'm stupid). The email provider has rejected my requests due to insufficient info. Everything is done digitally so I cannot talk to anyone.
I decided, what if I were to do a full factory reset and re-start from the beginning. But it appears I cannot bypass Windows 10 to do the full factory reset. Every option includes the reset to include Windows 10.
Does anyone know of a method in which I could possibly do a factory reset bypassing Windows. I can then download Windows 10 later.
