TPM 2.0 Not Detected in Windows on Acer Swift SFA16-41

Hello,

I am experiencing an issue with TPM 2.0 on my Acer Swift SFA16-41 laptop.

BIOS shows TPM enabled and Trusted Platform Module 2.0 is installed.
I have updated all relevant drivers, including AMD PSP/fTPM and chipset drivers.
Device Manager shows Trusted Platform Module 2.0 under security devices.
However, running tpm.msc or Get-TPM in PowerShell shows that TPM is not detected, and Windows cannot access it.

I have tried full shutdowns, BIOS TPM clearing, and driver reinstallations, but the issue persists.

Please advise on a solution or if a BIOS update is required to make TPM accessible in Windows.

Based on your SFA16‑41 case, since you’ve already considered the 2024‑03‑26 BIOS v1.10 update, here are other AMD CPU / TPM 2.0‑related angles worth checking before concluding it’s a firmware‑only issue:

1️⃣ AMD PSP & Chipset Drivers

Reinstall the AMD PSP (Platform Security Processor) driver — this is the fTPM interface layer. Even if Device Manager shows it, a clean reinstall can re‑register it with Windows.
Update the AMD Chipset driver from Acer’s support page or directly from AMD’s site (latest WHQL). This ensures PSP, IOMMU, and ACPI tables are aligned with Windows’ TPM stack.

2️⃣ Windows Security Device Reset

In Device Manager → Security Devices, right‑click Trusted Platform Module 2.0 → Uninstall device (check “Delete the driver software” if available).
