I have a Acer Revo RL 85, RL85_Pw5200U from 2015 which is used as a secondary media unit
After a recent windows 10 update I ran into problems and decided to bin the whole old HDD. Purchased a new SSD, in order to reinstall win10.
Have used Windows media creation tool to download and install Win10 onto a USB stick.
Upon plugging in the USB with the windows tool the Acer Revo unit is not able to run the Windows tool. It partially loads before it fails giving the error message "DRIVER PNP WATCHDOG" and restart a loop.
Been playing around with the BIOS with the advice of copilot but nothing seems to help (secure boot, UEFI)
Tried two different USB sticks.
Also cloned the old HDD into the SSD, to see if it was possible to run the old operating system or repair it with the use of Hirens. Also didnt work.
Are able to run Ubuntu on the USB stick.
In the end I decided to do a clean installation, but computer is not able to run the windows 10 installation tool from the USB. Something is blocking it.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks
