Poor Audio Quality on Acer ANV16-41 (Too Treble, Weak Bass)

Hello,
I recently purchased an Acer ANV16-41 gaming notebook, but I am very dissatisfied with its audio quality. When I listen to music with headphones, the sound is extremely treble-heavy and lacks bass, which makes the listening experience very uncomfortable.

For reference, I am using a high-end JBL headphone, so the issue is definitely not related to the headset itself.

I have already installed all the necessary drivers and additional software, and I also tried adjusting the equalizer settings. While this improved things slightly, the fundamental problem remains: the audio output itself is too thin and treble-focused, and software enhancements cannot fully solve it.

Is this a known issue with this model, or are there any recommended solutions (such as hardware settings, different drivers, or external DAC/amp suggestions) to improve the overall sound quality?

the built‑in Realtek audio chipset in the ANV16‑41 is fairly basic, so you won’t get huge bass response or rich tone straight from the hardware. To improve the listening experience, you can experiment with sound enhancers and equalizers available in the Microsoft Store — there are numerous free options worth trying.

These apps can help you boost bass, adjust treble, and apply presets tailored to music, gaming, or movies, giving you more control than the stock driver alone.

I use the free FxSound enhancer this software also has allot of presets for different types of generic sounds that enhances the bass quite considerably. But Win-11 has the dts Ultra that you can also use, as its included with windows.

To address poor audio quality on an Acer ANV16-41, start by updating or reinstalling the audio drivers from the Acer support page for your model, and also try adjusting the Windows sound settings by changing the default audio format to "DVD quality" or using free sound enhancers like FXSound.

1. Find the drivers:
Go to the Acer support website and find the drivers section for the ANV16-41 model.
2. Download the latest driver:
Download the specific audio driver for your laptop model.
3. Uninstall current driver:
Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
Expand the Sound, video and game controllers section.
Right-click on your audio driver and select Uninstall device.
4. Restart the computer:
